A Mission of Love

Hope Outreach in Northeast India

HOC has two locations in NE India, one in Nagaland and the other in Assam. Both of these locations minister to the physical and spiritual needs of children and families in those areas. What began in a simple bamboo thatch church has now become multi-floor buildings in two locations. One location is completely built, having four floors, a rock- climbing wall, and a pool. The other location continues construction, with two of the three floors being finished.

NE India Church Planters

The Hope Outreach Center is used not only for ministry to children, but also serves as a hub for many church pastors and leaders in NE India. We use HOC to hold pastoral training conferences, as well as training in sustainability for these ministries. Currently, Pastor Nauraj Thapa oversees the five church planters Grace Chapel supports in this area of India. A second, smaller building is presently being constructed in the hope that this building, located in a different state in India, will also be a place where children and church leaders can be ministered to. All these ministries happen thanks to the generous giving of the people of Grace Chapel

The Four-Fold Mission

Love

The love of Christ is shown to these children and their families through the ministries and staff of the Hope Outreach Center. When the children and their families experience unconditional love from the efforts of the HOC, it creates a bridge for the gospel to be shared with those families

Hope

Education is a key way that these kids can experience hope in their lives. HOC offers this hope at no cost to the poor families in their region. Hands on tutoring is provided by seven qualified teachers. For these children, it is their only hope of escape  from the corruption that leads to academic failure, and ongoing poverty

Help

The HOC meets the physical needs of these children and their families as well. Each day when a student finishes their tutoring they receive something to eat. Each month the HOC has a lunch for their entire community. If a family is in need they know they can turn to the HOC for help

Fun

The HOC is where the children in the surrounding villages come to play! It is the only place in Nagaland that has a pool. With the average temperature in the 90’s most of the year the pool is filled with children every day! Also, there is a 50’ rock-climbing wall, and a protected play area where games are played after tutoring time.
